Fetch only what you need

Sending the page size you need gets your data in fewer calls, and leaves more room under the rate limits. It also avoids a 400 from asking for too much at once.

What to do

  • Ask for at most 100 tickets per page; a larger count is rejected with 400 “Max page size is 100.”
  • List operations return 10 items per page unless you send count; send the page size you need instead of paging through small pages.

A list operation returns a small default page unless you ask for more. An integration that doesn’t send count makes many more calls than it has to. The largest page is capped, and a request above the cap is refused, not cut down.
